1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by the websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, work more efficiently, and provide information to the site owners. The information stored may relate to you, your preferences, or your device, and is mostly used to make the site behave the way you expect.

2. How we use cookies

Tackleholm uses Cookiebot to manage cookie consent in line with UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). Cookies are grouped into four categories:

• Necessary — required for the site to function (age-gate state, consent record). Cannot be disabled.
• Functional — remember your preferences (e.g. dismissed banners, email-subscribed flag).
• Analytics — anonymous traffic reporting (planned: Google Analytics 4 with IP-anonymisation; not yet active).
• Marketing — none currently set; reserved for future affiliate-tracking pixels.

4. Third-party cookies

• Google reCAPTCHA v3 — set on first form-submit attempt. Google receives an IP address and a fingerprint to score the request as human. See the privacy notice for the cross-border transfer disclosure.
• Cookiebot — sets a `CookieConsent` cookie recording your choices. 12-month duration.
• Future Google Analytics 4 — once enabled, GA4 will be loaded with `analytics_storage` consent gated by Cookiebot and `anonymize_ip` set true.

5. Managing your cookies

Click the small Cookiebot fingerprint icon in the bottom-left of any page to re-open the consent banner and adjust your choices. You can also clear cookies via your browser's settings — instructions for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge are at aboutcookies.org.
